Mis primeros inicios en el mundo del arte se remontan a muy temprana edad. Ya dibujaba y pintaba entonces retratos de mi familia y amigos, y prácticamente todas aquellas cosas que me llamaban la atención. Me viene a la memoria un cuadro que hice a los trece años, donde aparecía una mujer leyendo de perfil un libro y sentada en una silla. Era la primera vez que pintaba al óleo sobre tela. También recuerdo de la infancia los viajes que hacía con mis padres. Siempre llevaba conmigo un cuaderno y rotuladores "Carioca" para pintar lo que veía por el camino.
